Winsford St. Mary Magdalen

A grand 15th-century hall church. The nave roof sweeps down in one slope across the aisles. Fine W tower. 13th-century chancel remodelled in the Perpendicular style.

The Royal Arms of James I, dated 1609, lays great emphasis on the obedience due to the king. The 17th-century pulpit is unusually decorated with the motif of a rose surmounted by the crown of England.
