Winscombe St James the Great

A stately church with fine W tower. All Perpendicular in style except for the chancel mostly rebuilt in Early English-style in the 1860s [there is one original lancet].

Its glory is its surviving 15th/16th-century glass.

ST 410 567, high on the hillside S of and overlooking the village, signposted from A38.
