Timberscombe St. Petrock

A spacious church with, except for the chancel, its original waggon roofs. Much detail is of interest - 15th-century rood screen, 15th-century ironwork on N door, painting of King David and Perpendicular font.

St. Petroc was a 6th-century abbot who founded the monastery at Padstow and is perhaps Cornwall's most famous saint.

SS 956 420, in the centre of the village S of A396 between Dunster and Wheddon Cross.
