Porlock St. Dubricius

A substantial town church with massively built W tower. Its spire has lost its top but still preserves its covering of shingles. The dedication is to St.Dubricius or Dyfrig who died in about 550 and was known for his work in S Wales and the Wye valley.

The alabaster figures of Sir John and Lady Elizabeth Harington are notable for their beautifully detailed armour and costume. Fragments of late Saxon interlace carving are set in the W wall.
