Minehead St. Michael

A spacious Perpendicular church with a very fine tower perched on the flank of Bowhead Hill. The fall of land to the south has prevented the building of an aisle on this side. The fabric has been extensively restored.

The fittings are particularly fine. The rood screen is much restored but with some original parts. Its loft was lit by a generous window on the south side.

SS 966 467, in Higher Town; on minor road signposted to North Hill but best approached by foot.
