Leigh on Mendip St Giles

The church is almost entirely 15th to 16th-century in its present form. The tower is elegant and elaborately decorated and is similar to that at Mells. The glory of the interior are the roofs, tie-beam over the nave and chancel, and the simple benches.

Unfortunately the interior has been scraped but was being decorated gorgeously with flowers to celebrate HMQ's diamond jubilee on the occasion of our visit.

ST 691 473, in centre of village on minor roads 8km W of Frome.
