Compton Bishop St Andrew

On the hillside cradled by the Mendip Hills. 13th-century porch, chancel arch and chancel (with piscina) but substantially altered with west tower and new windows in the 15th century. The N aisle is Victorian c. 1850.

Charming 19th-century pews in the body of the church imitating the 15th-century pair in the chancel. Superb glass c.1375 in the E.window. Stone pulpit.
