Badgworth St. Congar

Modest church with W tower and 14th-century N chapel. The chancel is very restored. The plain poppy-headed pew ends are striking.

The St. Congar to whom the church is dedicated is rather obsure, possibly a Welsh missionary. His shrine was at Congresbury in Somerset.

ST 395 526, on minor road signposted S off A38.
