Axbridge St John Baptist

A splendid town church with a fine central tower now all mostly as rebuilt in the 15th century. The nave has a very fine plasterwork ceiling dated 1636.

The monuments are worthy of attention as is the altar frontal of 1720 by Miss Prowse, the font and the Spearing dole cupboard.
